Job Description:
Our client is looking for us to recruit a full time Service Engineer into a permanent position with their company.
Role Description – Service Engineer
As a Service Engineer you will play a key role in the maintenance, service and repair of all plant and machinery associated with the our clients Construction product range. You’ll work closely with the Service Centre Manager, Service Engineers and Customer Service Team contributing to our mission of delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
· Manage workload and effectively maintain high levels of customer service whilst performing necessary administrative duties as required and other duties as assigned to ensure team objectives and goals are being carried out and achieved.
· Have a working knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services offered is an advantage.
· Have an ability to read and interpret electronic and hydraulic drawings.
· Offer exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by taking care of any customer concerns or complaints quickly and professionally
· Work with the Thurrock service centre manager to maintain and manage industry regulations, restrictions, laws, and ensuring the service centre adheres to all regulations
· Resolve service problems and improves current service methods to increase productivity and customer service
· Ensure all standards are met and that repair work is carried out effectively, correctly, and thoroughly
What Our Client is Looking for
· Experience working with internal teams and external customers in a service-focused environment.
· Valid driving licence.
· Background as a service engineer with expertise in electrical, hydraulic, petrol, and diesel-powered equipment.
· Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
· Strong troubleshooting skills and customer responsiveness.
· Reliable, accountable, and takes ownership of tasks.
· Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
· Able to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences.
· Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently.
· Strong time management and organisational skills.
· Adaptable to changing priorities and fast-paced environments.
· Effective decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
· Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
