Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Sweeper Operator to join our clients clean and green maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized mechanical sweepers to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the upkeep of public grounds. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with street cleaning equipment, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of grounds maintenance.
Schedule
- 2pm – 10pm
- 37 contracted hours per week
- Overtime available
Responsibilities
- Operate mechanical sweepers efficiently across various terrains to remove debris, dirt, and litter from sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaped areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on sweeping equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by clearing debris using appropriate machinery and manual tools.
- Collaborate with team members on cleaning projects, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous operating and maintaining sweeping machinery and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards.
- Must hold Category B Driving Licence
