About the Role
We are recruiting for a Driver’s Mate to join our client’s team in Basildon. This role involves working alongside drivers to assist with deliveries, unloading goods, and ensuring items reach customers safely. Heavy lifting is required, so you must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading deliveries
- Carry out heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Ensure goods are handled with care to prevent damage
- Follow health & safety procedures at all times
- Work as part of a team to meet delivery schedules

Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable but not essential)
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy lifting throughout shifts
- Own PPE required (steel toe cap boots essential)
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
